The largest and most modern warship China has ever sold has been delivered to Pakistan, highlighting the two nations’ friendship and contributing to their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
The Type 054A/P frigate can simultaneously execute a number of naval warfare operations in a highly intense multi-threat environment, according to Global Times. It is equipped with state-of-the-art battle management and an electronic warfare system, as well as advanced self-defense capabilities.
The frigate was delivered to the Pakistan Navy (PN) in Shanghai after being designed and built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC).
The PNS Tughril, a Type 054A/P frigate, is the first of four Type 054 frigates being built for the Pacific Navy. The ship is a technologically advanced and competent platform with significant surface-to-surface, surface-to-air, and underwater firepower, as well as a large arsenal of other weapons.
