Samsung claims 6G has data transfer rate of 1000 Gbps, which is 50 times faster than 5G

Samsung claims that 6G technology achieves 50 times faster speeds than 5G technology. Following the publishing of a White Paper titled “The Next Hyper-Connected Experience for all,” Samsung anticipates that 6G deployment would begin in 2028, rather than 2050, as previously predicted.

Samsung claims in its white paper that it can provide a peak data throughput of 1000 Gbps, which is 50 times faster than 5G, and a user-experienced rate of 1 Gbps. 5G, on the other hand, can only achieve a peak data rate of 20 Gbps.

The Samsung white paper also discusses candidate technologies that may be required to meet the 6G standards.

These include the usage of the terahertz (THz) frequency band, unique antenna technologies to improve high-frequency band signal coverage, advanced duplex technologies, network architecture development, and spectrum sharing to improve frequency utilisation efficiency, and AI in wireless communications.
