A lawsuit filed against Pakistan’s national cricket team for displaying their national flag during a practise session for the ongoing Bangladesh trip was dismissed by a Bangladesh court.
Following the advice of former cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq, the Men in Green began waving the national flag during the practise sessions during the New Zealand series in September, and this tradition was perpetuated during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai.
The practise, however, did not sit well with some Bangladeshis, who filed a lawsuit alleging that Pakistani flags were erected at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur without the approval of the government.
