The family’s Sri Lankan manager, who was lynched in Sialkot last week, would continue to earn his monthly wage, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The statement was made during a condolence meeting in Islamabad for Sri Lankan manager Priyantha Diyawadana, who worked at a clothing business in Punjab’s capital city.
He went on to say that the Sialkot business community had raised $100,000 for the Diyawadana family’s bereavement.
PM Imran Khan also presented Malik Adnan with a certificate of appreciation for attempting to save a Sri Lankan citizen from being lynched by a mob.
