The administration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided to start a free tablet programme for meritorious students and instructors.
According to KP Education Secretary Ashfaq Ahmed, the province would offer 23,000 iPads to meritorious pupils and instructors.
He also revealed that the effort to provide free tablets will cost Rs1 billion.
Last year, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced plans to hire 25,000 teachers and implement a smart school system in the province.
