Liam Livingstone says PSL holds a special Place in his heart

Liam Livingstone, England’s right-handed batsman, has stated that playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is meaningful to him because it is where he began his franchise-based cricket career.

Livingstone batted for Peshawar Zalmi against Multan Sultans Wednesday, but he failed to impress, scoring 24 runs off 16 balls.

In the opening battle of the Lahore leg, the unbeaten Multan Sultans, captained by Muhammad Rizwan, defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 42 runs as Zalmi failed to chase a total of 182 runs.

“The Pakistan Super League was my first ever franchise competition, it’s undoubtedly a meaningful one for me,” Liam Livingstone stated during the mid-innings break in his first match of the seventh edition. It’s wonderful to be back in Pakistan.”

Liam Livingstone, who had a disappointing outing for the national team in the West Indies, will be eager to get some runs under his belt and help his franchise finish the Lahore leg on a strong note.

Peshawar Zalmi are now in fifth place in the PSL point table, barely ahead of Karachi Kings, following their defeat over Multan Sultan yesterday. In the Lahore leg, they have four matches to play according to their schedule.
