Ben Cutting of Peshawar Zalmi and Sohail Tanvir of Quetta Gladiators were both fined 15% of their match costs for violating a Level 1 offence of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct in separate occasions during their teams’ encounter in the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 on Tuesday.
Both players were judged to have breached Article 2.6 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which states that “using an obscene, offensive, or demeaning gesture during a PSL Match” is prohibited.
Cutting was involved in an incident in the last over of Zalmi’s innings when, after striking the bowler for a third consecutive six, the batter made improper gestures with his fingers.
Sohail, on the other hand, performed identical gestures after catching Cutting off the first ball of the final over.
