Prime Minister Imran Khan has complimented the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the International Technical Standard Committee’s certification of BRT Peshawar as a Gold Standard BRT service.
On Twitter on Friday, he stated that Peshawar BRT received a score of 97 out of 100, indicating that it complies with worldwide best practises in practically every way.
He stated that the Peshawar BRT has transformed the city’s public transportation system, with over 71 million people using it since its inception in August 2020.
According to the Prime Minister, around 250,000 commuters use BRT on a daily basis, with 20% being women and 60% coming from low-income families.
