Quaid-e-Azam’s Portrait Officially Installed at Iconic London’s Club

Moazzam Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, unveiled a painting of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, at London’s National Liberal Club.

Khan announced the news on Twitter, writing, “Privileged to have unveiled Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s image” at the exclusive club.

The installation of the image, painted by Turkish artist Kaya Marr, is a “befitting tribute to the Quaid in Pakistan’s Diamond Jubilee Year,” according to the Pakistani high commissioner.

In 1913, Pakistan’s founder, along with Dadabhai Naoroji, were members of the club. Both are the first South Asian presidents to dedicate the famed club’s main hallway.
