The birthday of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) grandson, Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), is being commemorated with religious zeal, with social media users paying tribute to the “Master of Martyrs” on Twitter.
The second son of Hazrat Fatima (RA) and Hazrat Ali (RA), a famous figure in the Islamic world, was born on the 3rd Shabaan, 4th year of Hijri, on March 7.
There is, however, disagreement among the many schools of thought on Imam’s birthday.
Some say he was born on the third of Sha’ban, while others say the fifth.
He spent much of his boyhood with Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who had a special fondness and affection for Imam Hussain. “I am from Hussain, and Hussain is from me.” “May Allah adore him who loves Hussein,” the Prophet (SAW) said in a narrative.
Imam Hussain is noted for standing up to the oppressive authorities of his time. Prophet’s grandson was killed in modern-day Iraq after refusing to support the tyrant king.
