PM Imran Khan Appreciates FBR for Achieving Revenue Target

On Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the achievement of its seven-month goals by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and said that a new IT-enabled system would add “hundreds of billions of additional revenue”

The premier added that by conducting a ‘bold tax audit and compliance’ couple with effective counter-smuggling initiatives, the revenue board had achieved its goals.

Imran said the system would become operational by July of this year for the IT-enabled Track and Trace system and it would also help to curb counterfeiting and establish the rule of law.

Earlier, in contrast to last year, the premier congratulated overseas Pakistanis for a historic rise in remittances in 2021.

He further claimed that the industrial sector is experiencing substantial growth.
