Bilawal Bhutto Inaugurates People’s Bus Service in Karachi

The leading member of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and also the foreign minister, will be inaugurating the People’s Bus Service in Karachi on Monday.

The administrator of Karachi and the chief legal advisor to the chief minister of Sindh, Murtaza Wahab, investigated the People’s Bus Service’s route and the development taking place at the bus stations.

According to Wahab, construction work is currently underway under the supervision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and PPP will continue to provide public services. On Saturday, Wahab posted in his Tweet, “Happily sharing and informing you that People’s Bus Service will be initiating operations in Karachi on Monday.” The authorities of Sindh have bought 240 of the latest buses for Karachi in the first time period.

The Karachi Mass Transit Authority (KMTS) was directed by Syed Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, in May for the completion of the remaining work on the Peoples Bus Service by the end of this month. CM Murad Ali Shah achieved a very detailed elaboration of the Rs 8 billion Sindh Peoples Bus Service program.

The chief minister was told that 120 out of the total 250 buses had been forwarded from the port of Shanghai and would reach the port of Karachi very soon. It was revealed by the meeting to the CM that the NRTC had been provided the project to buy 250 buses, in the beginning, out of which 240 would be operational only in Karachi (intra-city) on seven routes and 10 buses for Larkana.

The chief minister has given a   due date in the month of June to receive the remaining fleet to the Mass Transit Authority.
