PM Shehbaz Sharif Directs Immediate Functioning of Closed Power Plants

Recently, Shehbaz Sharif (PM) ordered the concerned authorities to take prompt steps for the functioning of closed power plants.

The steps to sort out the ongoing power crises in the country were discussed in the meeting.

PM addressed for resolution of the issues of provinces regarding the provision of drinking water and agriculture facilities on priority basis. PM also directed IRSA (Indus River System Authority) to take a self reliant decision with mutual discussion of provinces.

A meeting held to review measures to end power shortage, PM Shehbaz said that ending loadshedding was the responsibility of the alliance government despite the inherited crisis from the previous government.

PM Shehbaz Sharif preside over an important agenda to prevail over the issues of energy crises. The meeting was attended by Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for Petroleum Mussadiq Malik whereas, Minister for Energy Engineer Khurram Dastagir, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, MNA, and PM’s Special Assistant on Public Policy/Strategic Communications Fahad Hussain and other relevant authorities.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif blamed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for the loadshedding, saying because of PTI’s bad policies energy sector is facing challenges.
