PM Shahbaz Sharif Reduced FED from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 30,000 on Air Tickets

International air tickets for business and first class will be reduced to Rs30,000 to provide comfort to the wealthy and powerful.

The federal excise duty (FED) on club membership will be reduced to Rs50,000 through the Finance Act of 2022.

Some records notified the Business Recorder on Tuesday that the authorities have called off an important taxation suggestion on the nation’s rich people from the budget (2022–23).

The report of the Revenue Division to significantly reduce the FED on foreign air travel by Rs20,000 has gained approval from the Cabinet.

After the agreement by the cabinet and the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, the FED on airline tickets was increased from Rs10,000 to Rs50,000 in the first budget (2022-23).
