Proton is planning to launch a sports variant of the sedan, which will certainly appeal to consumers, especially young people. This sports variant is commonly referred to as R3 in the literature.
In addition, Proton Pakistan will sell this sedan in three different variants: Standard MT, Standard AT, and Premium AT. The engines in both of these models will be 1299cc.
The company has brought in 20 SAGA vehicles, with 5 or 6 of them being sports models. According to our sources, this means Proton will bring the car through its paces on Pakistani roads before launching it.
Completion in Pakistan’s mid-range sedan segment is heating up, thanks to the introduction of new vehicles such as the Changan Alsvin and Toyota Yaris. Vehicles from other automakers are expected to arrive in the country soon, pushing the competition to a whole new level.
