Ahsan Iqbal Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives declared that the government has decided to give 20,000 scholarships to unemployed graduates of Pakistan.
During addressing an international summit on higher education and workforce development held in Islamabad, he announced the decision.
He stated, “The govt has decided to provide 20000 scholarships to unemployed graduates,” added further that federal government committed to provide the underprivileged class access to education.
Moreover, Ahsan declared that the scholarships would be provided to the students of far-flung areas of the country under Youth Development Initiatives (YDI), currently introduced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome, Senator of Utah State, Dr. Keith Grover, chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) and others were present in the delegation.
