The price of petrol may come down from Rs 224.80 per liter to Rs 214.69, while the price of high-speed diesel is likely to come down from Rs 235.30 per liter to Rs 221.33.
This is only possible when the government does not increase the petroleum levy and refrains from adjusting the arrears.
Energy experts have said in their estimates for the second half of December that the price of petrol is likely to decrease by Rs 10.11 per liter and the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 13.97 per liter.
