Payoneer Partners with DirAction Pakistan’s Fastest Growing Chain of Skill Training Centres

In the past one decade, the rise of freelance and e-commerce industries in Pakistan have given a level playing field to its people to financially support themselves and their households. Where Pakistan’s freelance industry has been ranked fourth worldwide with 3 Million active freelancers, on the other hand, the sharp upsurge in the e-commerce industry post-Covid has opened new avenues for businesses and individuals alike. However, in order for the country to fully explore the untapped potential of its people and leverage the benefits presented by today’s digital economy, it is imperative to upskill them.

A skill-enhancement and investment company, DirAction Pvt. Ltd. (a part of Infinite ScaleUp – the holding company) is working diligently towards making Pakistan one of the strongest economies of the world through the provision of skills education to its youth and women. In a short span of one year, the company has become the fastest growing chain of skills training centres in the country with more than 130 centres across Pakistan enrolling 10,000+ youngsters.

In order to fill the existing gaps in the e-commerce and freelance industries, DirAction has partnered with Payoneer – an American financial services company with 21 global offices that facilitates individuals and businesses in the digital commerce landscape to conduct financial transactions.

“The e-commerce industry of Pakistan has risen from ground-up despite facing challenges at institutional level in terms of payments. However, to strengthen and flourish it, the leaders of the industry need to step up. DirAction has been taking great initiatives to turn this industry into an entire ecosystem. And that makes me and my entire team at Payoneer very excited to partner with DirAction,” said Mr. Mohsin Muzaffar (Country Manager, Payoneer).

Through this partnership, the two companies will work towards creating awareness around the need for skills education and existing policies pertaining to international payments, and build a community to address the current challenges by bringing together the leaders of e-commerce industry, traditional business sector and the government on one platform.

Sharing the vision behind the initiative, Mr. Nabeel Qadeer (CEO, DirAction) said,

“The e-commerce industry of Pakistan has the potential to become the backbone of our economy but it can only be achieved if all the relevant stakeholders join hands for the bigger goal. Payments has been one of the major impediments faced by the e-commerce industry of the country. This is where Payoneer has contributed significantly by being a ray of hope for the youth. We, at DirAction, are equally excited to partner with Payoneer. Together, we’ll show what it means to serve the people of Pakistan by enabling them towards financial freedom.”

An open-for-all company, DirAction was launched with the vision to empower the youth and women through skills education for them to become active and effective economic contributors. Currently, the company is on a mission to build a highly-skilled force of 10 Million youngsters by 2025.
