Apple chips revealed The first benchmarks for Macbooks

A few days ago, Apple launched an array of MacBooks powered by its M1 silicon chips that shocked everyone due to the enormous price drop of $500 between the Intel edition and their MacBook Pro chips. Rumors have also indicated that their chip-powered computers would run faster than the latest Intel chips due to Apple optimizations.

The MacBook Air will have 8GB of RAM driven by the M1 chip with a base frequency of 3.2GHz. With a 4MB L2 cache, it will have 8 cores. The benchmark shows that a single-core rating of 1,687 and a multi-core rating of 7,433 are provided by the processor.

A review of the MacBook Air shows that in the single-core benchmark stats, it outperforms all other iOS models, including the MacBook Pro and iMacs powered by the 10th generation Intel i7 and i9 processors. We don’t even think anyone would go for the Intel models anymore with a smaller price tag and better performance.

The MacBook Air still does well in the multi-core benchmarks, being very closely beaten by the iMac powered by the Intel i7 10th generation.

With M1 chip and 16GB RAM, the 13-inch MacBook Pro has a single-core score of 1714 and a multi-core score of 6802. A single-core score of 1682 and a multi-core score of 7067 were won by the Mac mini with the M1 chip that was benchmarked.
