Once again there is a Price hike, Toyota raised the price of its vehicles for the third time in the past 30 days on February 14.
The company stated that these suggested costs are only indicative and are therefore subject to change. According to IMC, the depreciation of the PKR in relation to the US dollar is the main cause of this third increase.
It’s interesting to note that the episode extends beyond price increases to include car sales.
According to the PAMA data, there was a 65% decline in car sales. Furthermore, the recent price boost series will worsen the already declining sales figures. The business increased the price of the Prado 2.8L AT by Rs. 11,660,000. The new price is Rs. 59,359,000 as opposed to Rs. 47,699,000.
It is now very difficult for the company to sustain existing prices because of the huge devaluation of the Pakistani rupee caused by both global inflation and domestic unrest, according to IMC’s announcement.
Indus Motor Corporation (IMC) has raised the cost of its completely built-up units (CBUs) after its locally assembled unit. According to the business, starting on February 14, 2023, all new orders would be subject to higher pricing. IMC stated in the notification that “furthermore, the revised tariffs would be effective on all orders in the system as of February 13, 2023.”

Prado 2.8 MT now costs Rs. 52,119,000 instead of Rs. 41,879,000 due to an Rs. 10,240,000 price rise.
The business increased the price of the Prado 2.8L AT by Rs. 11,660,000. The new price is Rs. 59,359,000 as opposed to Rs. 47,699,000.
Prado 4.0L will now cost Rs. 84,429,000 instead of the previous price of Rs. 67,790,000. This is an increase of Rs. 16,639,000 in price.
The Land Cruiser’s price has increased by Rs. 28,920,000 from Rs. 109,399,000 to Rs. 138,319,000.
