Due to the importance of the health sector to the country, the federal government has approved three health-related programmes to assist the average person.
The Central Development Working Party (CWDP) approved the National Police Hospital in the federal capital, a state-of-the-art cancer hospital, and an upgrade to the radiology department at the Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute in Lahore.
This shows the government’s dedication to focusing on the health sector in addition to infrastructure projects.
The Islamabad Cancer Hospital, which will be constructed for a price of Rs. 3.40 billion, would be housed by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, the largest public sector hospital in the city (PIMS).
