Babar Azam reached a new milestone in his career as he became the fastest cricketer to score 9000 runs in T20 cricket during the first Eliminator of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United.
The captain of the Zalmi team, who is now competing at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, has scored 9,000 runs in 245 innings.
Chris Gayle of the West Indies, who played cricket, formerly held the record for racking up 9,000 runs in the fewest number of innings (249).
Virat Kohli of India scored 9,000 runs in 271 innings, whereas David Warner of Australia scored the same amount in 273 innings.
