According to a report by Arif Habib Limited, Pakistan’s oil and gas marketing sector has experienced its highest year-over-year growth of 44 percent.
Despite a low starting point, this development continues. In March 2021, total petroleum and lubricant sales totaled 1.49 million tons, marking a significant increase of 44 percent on an annual basis and a six percent increase on a monthly basis. This may be clarified by the fact that February 2021 had less working days and March 2020 had a full lockdown compared to March 2021.
Petroleum revenues rose by 15% on an annual basis for the nine months from July 2020 to March 2021, hitting 14.15 million tons, up from 12.27 million the previous fiscal year.
