Around 11 people, including women and children lost their lives and various got injured in free ration distribution point in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi, as per sources.
The incident took place as hundreds of citizen gathered at a factory in Karachi’s industrial area in order to get ration. Which was a charity drive locally hold in every month of blessings to help deserving people, as per reports.
Doctors have described the condition of various injured as “precarious,” fearing a rise in the death toll.
A police official, Mughees Hashmi informed that around 7 people are responsible for leading the free ration distribution have been taken into custody as none informed earlier to the distribution.
Same incident happended in the last week during the distribution of free flour bags by the government in northeastern Punjab and northwestern Pakhtunkhwa provinces, killed various citizens.
