Islamabad To Get International Standard Football Stadium

According to sources, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has given the go-ahead for the construction of an international football stadium in Islamabad.
The decision, according to the article, was made at the board’s sixth meeting of the year, which was held at CDA headquarters and presided over by Chairman Captain (Retd) Noor ul Amin Mengal.
The establishment of the Building and Housing Control Wing was approved by the CDA board during the meeting. The board determined that Islamabad’s residential and commercial structures must use rainwater collection. It was decided that a water recharging well and tank must be built before any building plans may be approved.

It stated that the creation of the building control wing would help to stop unauthorized projects and enforce building regulations.

In the building control wing, 50 teams of field personnel will carry out their responsibilities. The building control team will be made up of two surveyors and one assistant director.
Also, the CDA Board authorised the Sanitation Directorate and Environment Wing to levy fines and penalties and adopted the rules and regulations for strengthening those departments. The Board granted the CDA Chairman discretion to choose the fee.

In addition, the board gave its approval to the 2002 ICT Building Control By-Laws Regulation changes. Moreover, building bylaws have been accepted for IJP and Murree Road construction.
