ECC in Pakistan has approved a new loan scheme to provide e-bikes and e-rickshaws on zero percent markup and a repayment period of three years. The move is part of the government’s efforts to promote the use of eco-friendly modes of transportation and reduce carbon emissions.
The financing programme aims to promote the use of electric bike which is becoming more and more common in urban settings due to its usefulness, effectiveness, and environmental friendliness. Small enterprises and individuals who want to buy e-bikes for their own use or for resale can use the loan programme.
The 0% markup and 3 year repayment period make it easier and more affordable for consumers and businesses to adopt such eco-friendly modes of transportation.
The programme is intended to increase the usage of electric bikes while decreasing the use of conventional petrol or diesel-powered cars, which are significant sources of carbon emissions and air pollution.
