Eight Pakistani Umrah Pilgrims Die in Makkah Hotel Fire

Eight Pakistani pilgrims who were visiting Makkah for Umrah died in a fire incident at a hotel. The Pakistan Foreign Office confirmed the deaths and stated that six other individuals were injured in the fire.

The victims hailed from the districts of Kasur in Punjab and Vehari. Their names are Riaz Gujjar, his wife, his maternal grandfather, his father-in-law, Haji Ashraf, along with his wife and mother-in-law. The fire originated on the third floor of a multi-story building on Ibrahim Khalil Road in Makkah.

Last month, a tragic traffic accident in Saudi Arabia claimed the lives of nine Pakistani citizens, including women and children, while five others were injured.
