Sialkot manufactures almost 70% of the world’s soccer balls, keeping the long history of producing sports equipment. The factories manufactured balls played in World Cup 2022 and sold many replicas to fans as well.
As per the statistics revealed by the local chamber of commerce, Sialkot produced more than 43 million soccer balls worth $191 million in 2021-22. In addition, the export of Pakistani made footballs have also been increased during the first 6 months of 2022-23 reaching 53.58%.
The figures highlight the significant contribution of Pakistan in sport items’ production competing with India and China. Sialkot remains the largest contributor of sports goods with its items being transported to various countries of the world.
