8 people died, 6 seriously injured due to rains in Punjab
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a risk of urban flooding in the low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Kohat, Peshawar, Bannu, Kirk, and DI Khan due to heavy rain till July 8.
There is a risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Murree, Gulyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Ban on tourist places during rains from 5th to 8th July
From July 6 to 8, the risk of flooding in the hilly areas of Dera Ghazi Khan, Kohlu, Sibi, Barkhan, Zhob, Loralai, Qila Saifullah, and Musaikhel and the adjacent rivers has been exposed due to heavy rains.
On Thursday, wind and thundershowers are forecast in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, Punjab, and East/North-East Balochistan.
Heavy rain is expected at a few places in Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and North East Balochistan.
