Music and dancing parties of transgender individuals at weddings and other special occasions have been banned in the Zakha Khel area of Tehsil Landi Kotal, Khyber district. Religious scholars, political leaders, and councillors have threatened to socially boycott those who go against this decision.
In a meeting held in Sultan Khel, attended by various scholars and community figures, it was stated that these activities are considered un-Islamic and against local culture and traditions. Therefore, they are now prohibited in Zakha Khel. The public is urged to respect this decision, and it was warned that those who violate it will face social boycott.
A written agreement was signed by all participants, declaring that no religious scholar will attend marriage events or perform the Nikah ceremony for grooms who organize music and dancing parties.
