Rizwan Has Occupied (Qabza) Pakistan Cricket Team: Former Cricketer ‘Sikandar Bakht’

Former fast bowler Sikander Bakht has claimed that he was told that wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan didn’t want Sarfaraz Ahmed to return to the Pakistan cricket team. Bakht, who is 65 years old, learned this from another cricketer. He explained that news travels quickly in the close-knit Pakistani cricket community.

It’s important to mention that Rizwan became Pakistan’s main wicketkeeper-batsman after Sarfaraz was removed as captain in October 2019. Sarfaraz then became a backup player and even younger players like Mohammad Haris were selected over him at times.

However, recently, the 35-year-old Sarfaraz got a chance to play in a Test series against New Zealand, taking Rizwan’s place. Sarfaraz performed well, scoring 335 runs, including a personal best of 118 and three half-centuries, with an impressive average of 83.75.

Bakht shared his thoughts on the matter, saying, “I think they have already decided not to play Sarfaraz. In our cricket community, news spreads quickly. Another cricketer, who is involved in programs with us, told me that Rizwan said, ‘I won’t let Sarfaraz come back to the Pakistan team.'”
