On the first day of the new business week, gold prices in the local market continued their upward trend in line with increases in the global bullion market.
The price of the valuable metal increased by $2 on the world market, ending at $1,891 per ounce.In the meantime, the cost of silver remained constant at Rs. 2,800 per tola and Rs. 2,400.54 for every 10 grammes.Rupee makes modest gains against the dollar in interbank trading.
According to data from the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of a tola of gold increased by Rs3,100 to close at Rs229,900, while the price of 10 grammes of 24 karat gold increased by Rs2,685 to close at Rs197,102.
