Here’s What Happens If Pakistan Vs India Super 4 Clash Washed Out on Reserve Day

Pakistani cricket fans are wishing for rain to help their team avoid losing to India. With Mohammad Rizwan getting out after scoring just 2 runs, things look tough for Pakistan. Fans are really hoping that rain can come and save the day in this important match.

Pakistan had won the toss and chose to field, hoping to challenge India’s formidable batting lineup. However, India’s openers, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, put on a stellar performance, both notching half-centuries and building a partnership of 121 runs for the first wicket.

Unfortunately, rain disrupted the game once again. When the rain hit, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were at the crease with scores of 8 and 17, respectively. The cutoff time for a 20-over game between India and Pakistan was set at 10:36 PM on Sunday. Had India not resumed its innings, Pakistan would have been given a revised DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) target of approximately 180 runs in 20 overs.

Pitch inspections were conducted at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM, but intermittent rain forced the match to be postponed to a reserve day. Notably, India’s Super Four match against Pakistan is the only Asia Cup game with a reserve day. If the match remains incomplete due to weather conditions on the reserve day, both teams will share the match points.

With a tight schedule ahead, including a match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, India faces challenges in the tournament. Earlier in the competition, India’s highly anticipated Group A match was also abandoned due to rain at the Pallekele Stadium. Stay tuned for further updates on the match’s progress.
