In order to consolidate its border surveillance capabilities, Pakistan is in talks with various Turkish security firms to acquire hi-tech drones.
According to sources, these drones will be deployed primarily on the eastern border which several Indian spy quadcopters have attempted to cross over for Indian reconnaissance missions in recent months.
In recent years, Turkey has become a center of new drone technology and has exported to many countries its hi-tech drones.
Turkish drones were also successfully used by Azerbaijan’s military against Armenia in the weeks-long Nagorno-Karabakh war that ended last month with its victory.
Pakistan also intends to acquire the ILTER Drone Detection and Prevention System from Turkey, which is the latest technical development that can detect remote and jam tracking devices for drones.
In recent months, the Pakistani army has also conducted trials of the S-250 and S-350 drones.
