Shaheen Afridi can Break this Record During World Cup 2023

During the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 in India starting on October 5, Pakistan’s key fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, has the potential to set a new record. He currently has 86 wickets in his first 44 games and could become the fastest Pakistani bowler to reach 100 ODI wickets.

The current record holder is Saqlain Mushtaq, a renowned Pakistani off-spinner, who achieved this milestone in 53 games. To break Saqlain’s record, Shaheen needs to take 14 more wickets in his next eight games.

In a recent warm-up match at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad, Australia defeated Pakistan by 14 runs. This highlights the anticipation and excitement surrounding the upcoming World Cup and Shaheen Afridi’s pursuit of a significant bowling record.
