After Cricket, Bookme is On a Mission to Bring Back Football to Pakistan

After 8 long years, FIFA is coming back to Pakistan and football fans are over the moon since the announcement. On the 17th of October, Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad will be hosting a Cambodia versus Pakistan match of FIFA Qualifiers Round 1 series. And the success of this event could lead to more matches being played on Pakistani soil in the coming days. So, it is surely a big news for football fans.

When we talk about sports in Pakistan, the first thing that comes to mind is cricket. Not too long ago, International matches had to be played in venues like Dubai and Sharjah. Following the success of multiple editions of Pakistan Super League and many International series, Pakistan has even received the honor of hosting the latest edition of Asia Cup. In all of this, Bookme has been on the forefront of everything from ticketing to on-ground operations.

Now Bookme has joined hands with Pakistan Football Federation to make the upcoming match in Islamabad a roaring success. Bookme’s team is working tirelessly in marketing on all of their channels to ensure this match gets a solid attendance. Another exciting thing about this is that they are giving out free merchandise to 25 lucky winners every day upon ticket purchase.

On this occasion, Taimoor Ali, COO Bookme shared his sentiments “It’s been a long time coming, I have personally seen many Pakistani football lovers wish for this day. Now that Pakistan can play its home games at home, it is very crucial that we go and support Pakistani football by getting into that stadium. Bookme is humbled to play its part in this cause, which is very dear to me personally.”

Bookme, a Pakistani e-ticketing startup, has played an important role in the revival of international cricket in Pakistan after Covid-19. From digitizing ticketing to ensuring all the protocols are being followed with on-ground arrangements, this Pakistani ticketing startup deserves all the praise. They have done it for cricket and now they are on a mission to do it for Football.

All Islamabad and Rawalpindi residents are humbly asked to mark their attendance on the match day for a few hours. It is for the return of Football and more importantly for Pakistan.
