Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stating that the country’s cricket “has collapsed.” The Green Shirts were eliminated from the World Cup 2023, facing challenges in restricting England and achieving the required net run rate to reach the semi-finals.
In their last-round match, Pakistan suffered a 93-run defeat against England, failing to chase the 338-run target and being bowled out at 244 runs. Ramiz Raja, speaking on his YouTube channel, expressed concerns about the bowlers not taking wickets with the new ball and becoming expensive in conceding runs.
He questioned the PCB’s approach, suggesting that when the team struggles, the board gathers ex-cricketers to discuss how to fix cricket. Ramiz Raja questioned the decisions made by the board, including changing the captain and coaching staff, and emphasized the need for more meaningful actions.
