Shahid Afridi, a former captain of Pakistan, recently shared his opinions on the subject and called on political leaders to engage in communication to find a solution.
Afridi thinks that India’s participation in the Asia Cup, which was slated to take place in Pakistan, would have been a move in the right direction to strengthen ties between the two countries.
The major issue is that we don’t talk and sit down together. Politicians ought to get together and converse just as we are doing now. They are under a lot of obligation, “added Shahid Afridi.
“India’s arrival would have been absolutely lovely. It would have been a step in India’s direction towards cricket and Pakistan. We want to see relationships get better; this is not a generation of conflicts and battles.
