PIA flight from Dubai to Multan had an emergency incident when one of its tyres burst during takeoff. The Airbus A320, with 172 passengers on board, received a warning about an engine problem, which led the pilot to use emergency brakes. As a result, all the tyres burst, and the plane had to come to an abrupt stop.
Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft and moved to the airport lounge. PIA’s engineering team from Karachi has been sent to fix the issue, and the affected passengers will be accommodated on other flights.
In the meantime, concerns have been raised regarding PIA’s privatization process, as the deadline for bidding has been pushed to October 31. The delay has left some people worried about the future impact on the airline and its operations.
The privatization of PIA has been under discussion for some time now, aiming to improve the airline’s overall efficiency and financial situation, but such incidents further highlight the challenges PIA is facing.
Passengers are being reassured, and efforts are being made to manage the situation effectively while maintaining safety as a priority.
