Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) Plans to Send Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem for Training

The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) has a plan for Arshad Nadeem, their top javelin thrower. They want to send him to Germany for training after the Asian Games. This is to prepare him for the 2024 Paris Olympics, as he’s already qualified. Arshad previously competed in the Tokyo Olympics and aims to do even better this time.

The AFP Chief, Major General (retd) Akram Sahi, revealed this during a press conference. He also mentioned that another top sprinter, Shajar Abbas, will go to Jamaica for training. They stress the importance of government support for these plans and providing the best facilities for Arshad.

Arshad Nadeem is determined to perform well in the upcoming Asian Games in China. He shared that he focuses on competing with himself and not getting too pressured, which helps him perform at his best.

Arshad also pointed out the need for a specialized athletics training facility in Pakistan, solely for athletes’ development. Recently, he made history with a throw in Hungary, winning Pakistan’s first-ever medal in a global athletics event.
