A disruption in the connection between several banks and 1LINK, the operator of Pakistan’s largest interbank network, caused major problems for customers trying to withdraw cash from ATMs. Many people across the country faced difficulties accessing cash, and online money transfers were also affected by this issue.
To address customer concerns, 1LINK officials assured the public that they were working to resolve the connectivity problem with certain banks.
This incident follows earlier events in August when the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had dismissed rumors about possible ATM closures, confirming that the LDI networks were not causing any problems for the financial sector.
Despite this, the recent disruption has raised concerns among customers who rely heavily on these services for their daily banking needs. The situation highlighted the importance of stable and reliable connectivity in ensuring smooth financial transactions across the country.
