Attention! HEC Alerted Students to Secure their Future & Money by Taking These Two Steps

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is warning students who plan to join universities soon. They’re saying it’s really important to check if the degree program they want is officially approved before applying.

In a notice released on a Friday, the HEC explained that certain professional degree programs must have approval from specific professional councils. Without this approval, universities shouldn’t be offering these programs, and it can be risky for students.

To help students make sure they’re making the right choices, the HEC has given two simple steps:

Step 1: Before applying, confirm that the degree program is officially approved by the relevant council. You can find the contact numbers for these councils in the notice.

Step 2: Also, make sure that the university or institution where you’re planning to study is officially recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

The HEC is saying that by doing these two things, students can avoid the risk of joining programs that might not be valid or accredited. This is crucial for protecting your future, time, and money.

In simpler terms, the HEC is advising students and their parents to check if the degree programs they want to join have the necessary approvals from professional councils. For programs that aren’t professional, make sure the university or college you’re thinking of joining is recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

You can follow these guidelines by going to the HEC’s official website: hec.gov.pk/site/HEIs. This website has all the information you need to make sure you’re making the right choice for your education.
