Australia Becomes First Team to Win All ICC Trophies

Australia made history in cricket on June 11 by becoming the first men’s team to win all three types of world titles in the International Cricket Council (ICC). They won the World Test Championship final against India at The Oval and became the champions of Test cricket.

Australia had missed the final in the first cycle of the championship but secured their spot in the second edition by finishing at the top of the table. Despite losing a series in India earlier this year, Australia performed exceptionally well in the final and defeated India by a significant margin. Led by Pat Cummins, Australia dominated all five days of the contest and played exceptionally well.
Australia has had success in other formats as well. They won their first 50-over World Cup title in 1987 and have won four more since then, making them the most successful team in the tournament’s history. They also won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006 by defeating the West Indies in the final.
Although Australia had struggled in the T20 format, they achieved success in 2021 by winning the T20 World Cup. Under the captaincy of Aaron Finch, Australia overcame challenges and won the elusive T20 title.
