The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is set to decide on the fate of the Asia-Africa Cup during its upcoming meeting. If approved, cricket fans could witness the exciting pairing of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli playing together in the same team in June of this year. The Asia-Africa Cup is a prestigious tournament that brings together the finest players from Asian and African countries.
Initially launched in 2005, the tournament was discontinued after its second edition in 2007. However, there is now a proposal to revive the competition and hold its third edition this year.
The final verdict on the tournament’s resumption will be announced during the upcoming ACC meeting. Reports indicate that Jay Shah, the President of the ACC, is fully prepared to organize the Asia-Africa Cup.
