Babar & Rizwan Get New Bats Ahead of T20 World Cup

Pakistan captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan have upgraded their cricket gear with new bats ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which starts on June 1 in the United States and the West Indies.

Azam and Rizwan took a trip from Leeds to Sussex and spent significant time at a local bat manufacturing facility. They made sure their new bats were customized for aggressive stroke play, considering the fast-paced nature of the T20 World Cup.

The Pakistan team is currently in England, preparing for their four-match T20I series against the host nation. Reports indicate that Pakistan might make three changes to their starting XI for the first T20I against England on May 22 in Leeds. Fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, along with top-order batter Usman Khan, are expected to be included in the lineup.

The preparation is crucial as the team aims to refine their strategies and ensure they are in top form for the World Cup. The players are focusing on all aspects of their game, from equipment upgrades to on-field tactics, to boost their chances of success in the upcoming tournament. The attention to detail in their preparation highlights their commitment to performing well on the international stage.
