Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan have no plans to miss the upcoming Sharjah T20 International series against Afghanistan.
A media source claims that the Haroon Rasheed-led selection committee is debating whether to rest some veteran players, notably Babar and Rizwan, for the Afghanistan series.
The Lahore Qalandars captain has been briefed about Shaheen Afridi taking over as Pakistan’s team captain in place of Babar, according to the report.
The pair, according to people close to them, are eager to participate in the series.
