A major European airline, British Airways, is promoting Ramadan by providing Iftar meals to Muslim travellers between London and Muslim nations.
In order to break their fast, British Airlines offers dates and laban (buttermilk) to passengers who are fasting throughout the month of Ramadan. Also, the wait staff will try to save a dinner for passengers to eat after dusk.
By providing special services to its Muslim customers throughout Ramadan, the airline makes sure that every one of its customers feels respected and honoured.
British Airways’ Panagiotis Theodotou, the airline’s regional commercial manager for the Middle East and Pakistan, has recognised the significance of Ramadan for many of the company’s clients.
