Special assistant to the prime minister on climate change Malik Amin Aslam persuaded the developed nations to commit to helping other nations transform to clean energy from carbon energy.
The special assistant further added, “Pakistan has committed to making our 60% energy clean, and 30 per cent will be the electric vehicle by the year 2030. Showing that Pakistan is definitely doing more than its share in resolving the climate change issue”, the international was assured that it would be fulfilled.
The minister further said, “The world needs to change its focus to climate financing. It needs to finance the countries that are transitioning to clean energy, like Pakistan”, expressing that ‘developed nations need to respect the commitment of $100 billion a year” for this cause.
