The massively used Bykea App recently got hacked and users were sent some inappropriate messages with swearing language. The users took to their Twitter accounts to share about the incident so that Bykea takes action.
The company took notice immediately and communicated through an apology tweet stating that the team has fully restored the app and it is safe to use now. They also confirmed that it was an interference from a third party.
The Chief Operating Officer of Bykea, Rafiq Malik further mentioned that the team is investigating the culprit and how they accessed the API. He also mentioned that if any user still faces any issues, call their helpline number.
