CDWP Clears Four Projects Worth Rs.353 Billion

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has recently recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) for approval four development projects which costs Rs 352.9 billion in total.

The meeting, which was chaired by Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Jahanzeb Khan, discussed four projects: the construction of the Hyderabad-Sukkur (306-kilometer, six-lane) Motorway, the northern section of the Ring Road (Warsak Road to Nasir Bagh), and the restoration and revamping of the Gujjar and Orangi Nullahs.

The CDWP suggested to Ecnec that the Hyderabad-Sukkur divided-fenced motorway be built on a build-operate-transfer basis.

Further, the project’s total cost is Rs 308.19 billion, and it will be implemented by the National Highway Authority (NHA).
